Our Key Initiatives

The first solar panels were installed at S&R Iloilo in 2018

Initiative Description Impact / Status*
Renewable Energy / Solar Panels Since 2018, we have been installing solar panels in our clubs. As of 2023, all 22 S&R clubs now use renewable energy and follow a zero carbon emissions policy. Reduced carbon footprint; lower energy costs; more resilient infrastructure.
Recognition for Sustainable Operations We participate in local sustainability awards. For example, S&R Pampanga placed in the Top 12 Sustainable & Eco-friendly Establishments by San Fernando City in 2021. Highlights our standards & encourages continuous improvement.
Reusable / Eco-Friendly Bags & Packaging Since 2019, plastic shopping bags have been phased out; members are offered durable eco-bags and thermal bags. Alternative packaging like carton boxes is also used. Significantly less plastic waste; safer way to package goods; positive customer response.
